Agreement
These terms are the agreement between you (the person using KeyTalk) and KeyTalk (the software and the team that makes it). Installing or using the app means you accept them.
We keep them short on purpose. If something here is unclear, email us and we'll explain it in plain English.
Your license
When you purchase KeyTalk, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and run the app, on the tier you bought, forever.
- You can install KeyTalk on every Mac you personally own or control — laptop, desktop, the one in the drawer you haven't turned on in six months. No device cap.
- The license is tied to the email address used at checkout. You can re-download any build of KeyTalk you have rights to from that address at any time.
- The license is for a human person. You cannot transfer, sublicense, resell, lease, or lend it to anyone else.
- Team, organization, and shared-device deployments need one license per user. Reach out if that's you — we'll sort it out.
What you can do
- Use KeyTalk for personal and professional work, on any project, for as long as you want.
- Dictate into any app that accepts your keyboard input. That's the whole point.
- Export, copy, back up, and keep anything KeyTalk generates for you (notes, transcripts, snippet configurations).
- Share screenshots, recordings, and reviews of KeyTalk in public — we genuinely appreciate it.
What you can't do
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the signed binary — except where that's legally permitted and you've told us first.
- Redistribute the installer, package it into another product, or bundle it with anything commercial.
- Use KeyTalk to build a competing dictation product by automating its outputs at scale.
- Use KeyTalk in a way that is illegal, harasses other people, or violates the rights of others.
- Strip, alter, or obscure copyright and attribution notices in the app or in any materials we ship.
Updates and the "lifetime" promise
Your license includes every future update we ship, at no additional cost, for as long as KeyTalk exists. If we ever stop developing KeyTalk, we will make the last shipped build available to licensed users.
We promise not to move KeyTalk to a subscription model for users who already bought a lifetime license. This is the whole pitch of this launch and we intend to keep it.
We may release optional paid add-ons or separate products in the future. Those are opt-in and are not part of your current license.
Warranty and liability
KeyTalk is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free, fit any particular workflow, or run on every possible hardware / macOS combination — especially as Apple updates the platform underneath us.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for your license. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law that cannot legally be waived.
Termination
These terms remain in effect for as long as you use KeyTalk. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it — that ends the agreement from your side.
We may suspend or terminate the license if you materially breach these terms (for example, redistributing the installer or bypassing license checks). In that case, you must stop using the app; no refund is due beyond the window described in our refund policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Lisbon, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time — for example, when we add new features or when the law requires it. When we do, we will bump the Last updated date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify license holders by email.
Continued use of KeyTalk after a change means you accept the revised terms. If you don't, stop using the app and ask for a refund if you're within the window.
